The resources of the NGO are:

1: The membership fees of the individual members, as set by the Board of Directors and ratified by the General Meeting. The amount of these fees will be modulated in line with the status of the members (students of professionals) and the GDP of the country of origin of the members. This amount is set provisionally at 50 US Dollars for all professionals in developed countries, at 20 US Dollars for students and for members from developing countries, and at 10 US Dollars for the least developed countries, defined on the basis of the UN nomenclature. The status of Supporting Member will be awarded for membership fees equal to or greater than 100 US Dollars. The membership fee for all legal entities is set provisionally at an amount of 150 US Dollars.

2: Individual donations and legacies.

3: Sponsorship by private corporations insofar as the aims of the said corporations are compatible with the code of ethics of the Observatory

4: Subsidies from national and international institutions, this category of resources being subject to a maximum ceiling of 33% of total income. In particular, for the creation period of the on-line journal, a budget of 10,000 has been awarded by the Aquitaine Regional Council.

5: Earnings from consultancy and research contracts.

6: Any profits from events and international conferences, such profits being divided equally between the national organising body and the Observatory. These profits will be re-used for the following conferences and to finance the Thesis Prize.

The annual budget will be drawn up by the Treasurer and the Executive Committee of the NGO, then approved by the Board. A complete financial report (operating accounts and balance sheet) will be prepared by the Treasurer and must be approved by the General Meeting, after hearing the report of the two Official Comptrollers.
